Donations needed
The WWA needs your donations to add to the WWA Endowment Fund
and to support current operations. We have expanded services in a
number of ways-e.g., higher contest prizes and more categories, much
more robust conference offerings, a much improved website, a new
creative writing
magazine, and an ezine.
We're planning even more services. For example, we are looking
into sponsoring online training in various writerly subjects,
and sponsoring a week-long annual writing retreat that would focus
intensely on manuscript completion, or other subjects, perhaps
something different each year.
Many of our activities are either self-funding, or very close to
it. That is, the related fees pay fully (or nearly so) for the cost
of the activity. Others produce little or no income, so they take
their funding from dues income and from donations and sponsorships.
These include our magazines, our website, and all our administrative
costs.
We have implemented donation "buttons" that allow people to make
donations to help underwrite the cost of WWA activities. You'll
find our donation page at
www.wiwrite.org/donate.htm. Please consider donating. It's tax
deductable, as we are a registered 501(c)(3) organization. If you'd
like some or all of your donation to be used to enhance the WWA
Endowment Fund, please note your wishes in the online transaction,
and we will direct the funds appropriately.
