“WHAT IF…?”  I think we all ask ourselves this question from time to time as we look back upon our lives.

Jerry Ziemer has written a delightful series of short stories focusing upon those twists of fate that manage to change our lives in one way or another. His characters experience a full range of human emotions – from joy to pain, anger, and acceptance – as they encounter the ups and downs of life.

The author inserts touches of humor and empathy into his stories. He includes nostalgic flashbacks to childhood memories that many of us can relate to. In the end, many of these painful and unexpected twists of fate turn out to be blessings in disguise.

About the Reviewer: Janet Kay is the author of four novels crossing genres of psychological suspense, paranormal, wilderness adventures and historical fiction. Her latest, “Rainy Lake Rendezvous” has been endorsed by New York Times bestselling author William Kent Krueger. Check out her website at www.novelsbyjanetkay.com.
