Patricia Skalka is the award-winning author of the Dave Cubiak Door County mysteries, including the latest Death Casts a Shadow. USA Today chose Death Stalks Door County, the first in her series, as Wisconsin's book in a pandemic article “50 State, 50 Books to Read.” She’s won both the Midwest Book Award for Mystery and the Edna Ferber Literary Book Award.

Patricia is a speaker; former President of Sisters in Crime Chicagoland; member of both the Wisconsin and Chicagoland chapters, Mystery Writers of America, and The Authors Guild of America; and Board member of the Society of Midland Authors.
