Bio
Nikki Kallio’s creative work has appeared in Minerva Rising, Midwestern Gothic and Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine. Her short fiction collection, FINDING THE BONES, is forthcoming from Cornerstone Press (Feb. 2023). She is a past winner of the Wisconsin People & Ideas Contest. Nikki's essay "Cold Front" appeared in the 2021 anthology "(Her)oics: Women’s Lived Experiences During the Coronavirus Pandemic." She has an MFA from Goddard College and has lead workshops for The Mill: A Place for Writers, the UntitledTown Book & Author Festival and Wide Open Writing. Nikki worked as a newspaper journalist on both coasts before coming home to Wisconsin, where she is now a freelance writer, editor and instructor.
