Bio
Ingrid studied poetry and literature in Swedish, German, French & English at UW-Madison, before mixing that fertile ground with the art and science of midwifery. Ingrid’s poetry has been nominated for Pushcart Prizes and Best of the Net and appeared in About Place Journal, Ars Medica, Eastern Iowa Review, Literary Mama, Midwest Review, Plant-Human Quarterly, Wisconsin People & Ideas and more. Her collection, Jordemoder: Poems of a Midwife (Holy Cow! Press, 2022), was awarded 2nd place in the Edna Meudt contest for a book of poetry. Ingrid has caught more than 1000 babies at home and lives in Madison with her husband, dog, chickens and bees.
