Industry award: Maggie Smith

The Women's Fiction Writer's Association named WWA member Maggie Smith's novel, Truth and Other Lies, the winner of their annual Star Award for Debut Fiction, winning out over 80 other candidates in a competition judged by a panel of librarians throughout the country.

In addition to prestige, the honor came with a trophy and cash prize and was awarded at the association's 10th Anniversary conference celebration in downtown Chicago. (https://wfwa.memberclicks.net/
