Out of the mouths of babes: Children can teach us life's greatest lessons.

Dancing in the Aisle is a collection of short meditation essays that provide wisdom from some of the world's greatest teachers: kids.

Each chapter begins with one or two anecdotes from the lives of real children---stories that show first-hand the wonder, empathy, and sometimes unfiltered honesty of kids. The authors then tie these events to common troubles or self-imposed limitations we as adults place on ourselves.

Bible passages are interspersed in each essay to connect these modern-day events to the eternal wisdom and teachings of the scriptures. Each essay concludes with a list of questions for reflection or discussion, to be used for self-introspection or group dialogue, along with multiple challenges---calls to action---to incorporate these lessons into our daily lives.

This book is expertly written in beautiful prose and relevant stories. The chapters/essays are short, about four pages long each, thus making for an easy read but still packed with spiritual lessons we can all incorporate into our busy schedules.

The Introduction sums up this book perfectly: "For our children, each day came as an unfolding adventure. For us, it was a never-ending to-do list waiting to be attacked." We as adults can become so consumed by the tasks in front of us that we rarely stop to explore and enjoy the wonders of the world around us. This book can help give each of us some much-needed pause to remember that life can be simple if we let it.
